We enjoyed a very nice holiday with family. We enjoyed having company in our new home, finally we have room to entertain guests! We had Kyle's family here for 2 days prior to Christmas, so Kylin and Preston got to play with 3 of their cousins. Their cousin Christopher wasn't real fond of Preston joining him in building lego towers (Preston just wanted to knock it down). Kylin loved to be around the kids and play with them. Neither of them was very interested in their presents until they were out of the paper, but then they were quite intrigued by the sights and sounds. Kylin's favorite toy seems to be the people out of her Parents brand bus. She carries them everywhere she goes. Preston and Kylin both got so many presents. They were spoiled by Mom and Dad, Aunts and Uncles, Grandma and Grandpas and of course Santa. We now have 2 toy boxes to keep all of their toys contained when not in use.

Kylin and Preston both have had colds and Preston has the nasty cough to go with it. They seem to be going about life normally, just have yucky noses. Today they will get their Synagis shots which I am sure they won't enjoy. They receive the shots every month until spring to help protect them against RSV.
Preston has learned some new tricks in the past few days. He is now able to carry toys when he walks, and he thinks that is great. He carries books and walks over and puts them in the toybox. Hopefully he will learn the art of "pick up" and help me out. He also now knows how to get himself off of the couch and beds (no matter how high). He turns around on his tummy and slides right off the edge. When I saw him do this off of our king size bed, I saw red!!!! He also learned that pushing chairs is a fun sport. He tipped a card table chair over on himself, and managed to make his tounge bleed and his fingers swell up for a bit. UGH!! He has also discovered that the toilet is a very fun place to play. He slams the lid up and down and ocassionally will dip his hands in the water if I don't catch him soon enough. YUCK!
Kylin's personality evolves more and more every day. With all of the people around at Christmas, she seemed to like everyone and didn't act strange at all. She crawls all over the place, but so far she keeps herself out of trouble. She lets her brother get into things and then she is the innocent by-stander when Mom discovers what they are up to. Her eating is going great. She continues to drink about 1/3 to 1/2 of her bottles and then she is eating more and more table foods all the time. She now can handle the texture of cooked green beans, peas and carrots. Next week, we will be switching Preston to whole milk and Kylin to Pediasure (30 cal/oz) as they will be 1 year adjusted. Wow!!! Time is flying! My babies are turning into toddlers!!
This morning we have beautiful winter weather! Huge snowflakes and a fresh coat of white over the brown yucky grass. I couldn't resist bundling everyone up and going outside for a few pictures. Kylin was licking the melted snowflakes off of her lips, and Preston was trying to catch the snowflakes as they fell.
