The title above refers to the names the kids have for each other. They call each other by name alot, especially to get their point across! The kids are doing well! We made it through 1 long round of pink eye in our house. The kids both had to start a second antibiotic drop, as the first one didn't take care of it. Mom had pink eye and a sinus infection last week. Today we are all healthy! Aunt Kari spent quite a bit of time with us lately, and 2 days ago she was blessed with needing antibiotic drops as well.
To update on our speech therapy appointments from the past couple off weeks, both kids are doing quite well. They both tested around the 80th-90th percentiles for expressive and receptive language. Neither Kylin nor Preston qualified for out-patient speech at this point, so we will continue to work on that. They are both constantly talking, but we are trying to work on sentences and longer phrases.
Kylin did very well with pacifier weaning 101, and only asked for it for a few days and hasn't talked about it since then. She even saw her new baby cousin who uses the same pacifier, and she just nicely put it in his mouth without a question. What a big girl! Kylin continues to eat very well, and she weighs about 24 lbs. right now. Slow and steady....
Kylin jabbers alot, and I sometimes have a hard time understanding her words, but once I do figure out what she is saying, she nods her head to acknowledge my discovery. She has really developed alot of particulars in her life. She gets very snotty and sends out many non-verbal and verbal signals when she is in disagreement about things we ask her to do, things we tell her she can't do etc. Two year old with attitude!

Finally enough hair for pigtails!Preston is doing very well, and is beginning to show interest in sitting on the potty chair. He likes to sit, but so far no results. (So far Kylin screams if I put her on the potty). He is really a chatty fellow, and he talks from morning to night. He is such a great helper around the house, he likes to help "fold" laundry, load/unload the dishwasher, pick up toys etc. I am taking advantage of it as long as he will do it. Preston has a huge passion for reading books the past month or so. Everynight after his bath, he likes to sit with Dad and he continually brings him books and says "read it?!" If Dad is busy watching TV, Preston puts the book in his hand and nags until he gets Dad's attention. We have gotten a few new books lately, but so far the old favorites are the one's he brings over and over. He loves his "Potty book" and we read about Henry and his potty adventures. He can fill in the sentences of the books, so his memory skills are definitely developing.
Today Preston added a new duty to list. He is now the "boss." When I was giving Kylin very strict instructions about something she was to put away, Preston added "right now KyKy!!" (of note, he utilized his pointer finger with this command as well). Ugh, I'm creating a monster!

Always with a remote or a phone!
We plan to move in 2 weeks, so we have to begin packing the few things we have out of boxes and getting ready for yet another move!
