Kylin is walking!!!!!!

We are happy to report that Kylin has started walking! She is still in the learning phase, and she is very nervous when she starts, but so excited when she gets to her destination. She is taking about 15 steps between us, but she has also turned herself and taken a few steps off in her own direction. We gave her the goal of Easter, and she must have known the Easter Bunny would be here soon!! Grandma G was here and got to see her take lots of first steps! This week, she has also learned how to navigate down the stairs in our house. Up to this point, she would crawl up and then when she wanted down she would sit at the top of the steps and whine or yell for help. Kylin has had another rough few days with reflux, and hasn't been eating so well again. It might be time for another increase in her Prevacid dose.

Kylin has never had a real bond with her bottles due to her eating aversion, but she has recently begun to hold her bottle and drink from it. This is big stuff!!!! In the picture above she is drinking vanilla Pediasure.

Preston (aka Busy Beaver) continues to entertain and exhaust us. He has learned a few new tricks this week as well. He now walks backwards and marches in place (and giggles at himself) He has started playing a new game lately, he puts his blanket over his head and plays ghost (kind of looks like E.T.-I'm dating myself). He walks into walls and doors and anything in his path and laughs and gets up and goes again. The other night he entertained us for at least 10 minutes playing this game. He now helps Mom by throwing away dirty diapers in the garbage all by himself. Soon I am sure I will find clean diapers in there also, but at least he is helping. It seems all of my Preston pictures are of him climbing, so here is another one. We are painting and he decided to get in on the action.

Kylin and Preston have a new cousin!!!!! We welcomed Logan Michael into the family on his Dad's birthday this past Thursday, March 29th. Logan weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and he got to go home from the hospital yesterday. Preston got to see Logan at his house and he just stared and wasn't too sure what to think of this baby that made funny noises. Preston loves to steal Kylin's pacifier, and Logan uses the same paci, so hopefully he will leave Logan's pacifier alone. It will be interesting to watch Kylin and Preston's reaction to a real baby, since they are used to the quiet dolls being the baby at our house.
