A Night Away

Last Thanksgiving, Mom quickly ate her meal and headed to the hospital to visit the babies while they were in the NICU. It didn't feel quite right to celebrate the holiday with out them. This year, we had a very nice Thanksgiving with both of our babies there at the table. Preston seemed to enjoy his first Thanksgiving meal, he ate jello, mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing and green beans, lefse (we got him hooked early) and chocolate pie. Kylin liked the coolwhip on the jello, and the chocolate pie without the crust.

Preston was a little out of sorts all weekend, but he has a new tooth, so that was likely the source of his crabiness. He now has 2 bottom teeth and 1 upper tooth. Kylin did very well at Grandma and Grandpa's and she did a little bonding with Grandpa G., which was fun to see.

Mom and Dad went to a friends' wedding 3 hours away from Grandma and Grandpa's house. Kylin handled things quite well, and Preston looked to her for comfort while Mom was away. Usually Kylin follows Preston around the house looking for the next thing to get into, but Preston was the follower this weekend while he waited for Mom to return. This was the first time Mom has left them for over 24 hours. When Mom and Dad returned, both kids immediately cried when they saw us. It took a few minutes to get them to settle down, but I think they were relieved that we had returned.

Thanks Grandma for watching the kids while Mom and Dad had a nice night away!!
